Mindy Moore has always had the passion of theatre in her blood, having been a performer since her young days. As a high school student, she was involved with numerous stage productions. At Gallaudet University, she quickly became drawn into the television/media program. She composed scripts for and acted in campus television productions Deaf Moonlite Show, and Florida Avenue. It was during her college years, along with an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be involved with the National Theatre for the Deaf, that Mindy realized she was destined to be involved with film production.Mindy became a drama, art and Deaf studies instructor at the Texas School for the Deaf, working with kindergartners through fifth-graders. Combining all of her passions, Mindy has written and directed numerous plays at the school, and also led the production of two short films featuring Texas School for the Deaf students. One was a ten-minute film, Bullying Others, and the other was an hour-long film, Little Deaf Spies. Little Deaf Spies was selected for the 2003 CIMI Festival in ChicagoAfter joining forces with husband and performing partner Theron Parker, Music for the Eyes, Volume I, was created. This DVD was quickly sold out, with a new release planned for the fall. The stellar duo is often found traveling the nation conducting workshops, performances, and storytelling events. As if that weren’t enough, Mindy also is a producer for ASL Films, and starred in Forget Me Not and Wrong Game.
